Art Gallery Data Privacy Policy

Art Gallery Data (artgallerydata.com) takes your privacy into account on all design and development decisions. This Privacy Policy will describe to you what we collect and how we use data collected. By using this web site you agree to our Privacy Policy.

Art Web Services and Data Collected

Art Gallery Data collects from you your name and email to allow a login account as an artist and/or a gallery owner. Art Gallery Data member may add other information such as Bio, Artist Statement, art descriptions, business logo, profile photos, social photos, mission and studio or gallery contact information. Art Gallery Data members may also add press releases, workshop information, call to art and other future art business services.

As an Art Gallery Data member you may add art for sale and/or portfolio archives. Required form entry describes details of the artwork: artist, type of art, medium, material, availability, location, size, price, creation date, image and publish (on/off). Price is required but is not published if the artwork is no longer available. Images must be below 845kb to protect the artist from too high resolution of a file. You may choose to go as low in file size as your own image privacy dictates giving you full control of what is published on the web.

Marketing art sales is Art Gallery Data’s obvious and ultimate goal. We constantly strive to improve success of this goal such as providing a 4x6 printable business card of each art work published on our site with a simple click of a button. The quality of the image printed on the card is solely controlled by image submission. Gallery owners get instant print ability to hand to a customer walking out the door to think about it. Another common art web service feature ‘Contact the Artist’ is handled with ultimate security by Art Gallery Data making email addresses invisible from prying eyes.

All Art Gallery Data is kept within our network of artist and gallery web sites. Member Artists and Galleries have the opportunity to share articles, press, events made available by Art Gallery Member authors to publish to their own web site feeds therefore increasing the opportunity for each party to be found on web searches.

Art Gallery Data makes use of SEO (search engine friendly) friendly URLs in order to improve indexing in search engines. The name of artist, art title, gallery or art show will be legible in our dynamic links. Example: https://www.artgallerydata.com/gallery-art-show/art-title.htm or https://www.artgallerydata.com/artist-name/art-title.htm

Indemnification – Gallery/Artist relationship

Galleries acting as Agent for the Artist will add artist name, email, their art detail (as described above) and other information about the art such as gallery openings, press releases and art and artist statements to their online gallery art shows. Gallery Owners are solely responsible for marketing and sales contract between Gallery and Artist. Art Gallery Data is not responsible for this relationship in any manner. Gallery owners are required to enter a valid working email for an artist showing in their gallery. Therefore all artists have the opportunity to log in, retract art from shows and unpublish any and all data entered by a gallery owner. Should an artist wish to be deleted entirely, log in and submit your wish to our admin.
